Meet your new team!

We are looking for a talented QA Manager to join our team. Based in our productions site in Milwaukee, US, you’ll join a dedicated global QA team that ensures the food safety and quality of Oterras products. You will also be a part of the local management team in US. The ideal candidate is experienced with cross-functional work and has strong interpersonal skills. In addition to that is systematic, customer and result oriented skills important. Soon, there will be at least 2 QA’s reporting to you.

 

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Responsible for external certification audits and customer audits of the area in relation to quality, food safety, Kosher and Halal.
  • HACCP team leader including approving of new and changed products/processes
  • Implement and maintain local HACCP and GMP procedures, pest control system etc. and conduct verification activities
  • Implement and maintain framework for managing corrective and preventive actions
  • Approve allergen cleaning validation and verification results
  • Perform training in quality, HACCP, GMP, corrective and preventive actions system
  • Evaluate, audit, and approve local raw material manufacturers, toll manufacturers and food safety critical service providers
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Support customer complaint handling, challenge (and approve) root cause analysis and preventive actions
  • Report on local and global KPIs to Site management and Head of QA, Oterra
  • Plan, report and conduct management review

 

Experience and skills required

Responsible and accountable for up-to-date quality systems enabling the site to operate effectively and efficiently in compliance with global and local guidelines, regulations, laws, and requirements.

  • M.Sc.in food science, chemical engineering, microbiology or similar
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge and experience with food safety standards like FSSC 22000
  • Knowledge and experience within Food safety management and HACCP analysis
  • Understanding of product application and business and production processes
  • Auditor experience
  • Communication and presentation skills, training experience
