Indirect Category Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and structured Global Indirect Category Manager to lead the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for key indirect spend areas, including Professional Services, IT, and 3rd Party Manufacturing (3PM). This role is central to developing and delivering category strategies, preparing and managing contracts, and ensuring optimal value delivery across the organization.
You will play a key role in empowering cost center owners, enabling structural cost control and driving organizational agility. The role demands strong project management skills, the ability to challenge the status quo and the confidence to communicate effectively with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing across indirect categories (e.g., Professional Services, IT, 3PM), including e-auctions, tenders and negotiations.
•    Develop, implement and deliver indirect procurement strategies that align with business objectives and cost optimization goals.
•    Prepare, review, negotiate and manage contracts in collaboration with business stakeholders, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
•    Build and embed procurement policies and frameworks that empower cost center owners to manage budgets more effectively.
•    Partner with senior stakeholders to identify business needs, manage supplier performance and align procurement goals with functional priorities.
•    Use data-driven insights to evaluate opportunities, build business cases and ensure sourcing decisions are grounded in sound analysis.
•    Maintain a high level of organization and agility to manage multiple priorities and sourcing projects simultaneously.
•    Ensure traceability and governance of sourcing activities, including adherence to procurement processes and documentation standards.
•    Act as a change agent to challenge current ways of working, improve sourcing efficiency and promote value-based thinking across the organization.

Experience and skills required

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably with exposure to Professional Services, IT, or outsourcing categories.
•    Demonstrated experience in contract lifecycle management and negotiation.
•    Proven ability to design and deliver category strategies with measurable business impact.
•    Exceptional organizational skills and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident in presenting and influencing senior leadership.
•    Experience working in matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
