As part of the Oterra growth strategy with Nutraceuticals as a key growth vector, Oterra has high ambitions in North America. We are looking for a technical commercial superstar with a visionary mindset, who can drive the development of the North American market for Oterra’s Nutraceuticals Business Unit in a cross-functional manner in close collaboration with strategic customers.

What would your role look like?

As Product and Market Development Manager, your main responsibilities will be to develop our Nutraceuticals business in the North American market:

  • Creating the vision and defining the roadmap for development and commercialization of our Nutraceutical ingredient portfolio in the North American market
  • Collaborating with Sales team to develop the North American market, being a technical subject matter expert of the Nutraceutical ingredient portfolio
  • Conducting in-depth technical and clinical discussions with strategic customers to explain product USPs, understand business needs, build relationships and translate insights into outcome-driven innovation strategies and solutions
  • Working with Global Marketing and Global Product Management to develop messaging, communications and sales and marketing materials
  • Collaborating with R&D and Global Product Management to develop product portfolio and drive innovation strategy, providing subject matter expertise to bridge science and innovation with market and consumer needs
  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitive environment
  • Provide strategic input to product strategy and positioning, innovation agenda and go-to-market model

 

Who are we looking for?

 

We need an additional team player, who has the resources to support Oterra’s fast-growing Nutraceuticals business and strengthen the image of Oterra as a leading supplier of high-quality, science-backed nutraceutical ingredients. We are looking for a person that is motivated by working with people. The right candidate will have high standards, strong communication skills and the ability to develop relationships. Other soft skills we really appreciate are being resilient, collaborative and having a good sense of humour.

 

Characteristics and requirements:

 

  • Higher education degree or equivalent (B.A./B.S./MBA) in relevant area (Marketing, Business Administration, relevant field of Science or Engineering)
  • Minimum ~10 years of experience in product management, technical sales, marketing and/or product development in nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong technical and clinical understanding of active ingredients, food processing and formulation
  • Customer-faced experience through sales, marketing, product development or similar
  • Team-oriented with proven ability to well with global, diverse and cross-functional teams 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill and ability to document, plan and execute
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US full time
