Meet your new team!

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Global Logistics Manager to lead and optimize our global logistics operations across dynamic manufacturing plants worldwide. The role can be based either at our office in Parma, Italy, or in Copenaghen, Denmark, as part of our Global Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for a small but specialized team covering freight, transportation, and toll-manufactoring partnerships, as well as warehouse management experts.

 

What would your role look like?

This critical role oversees the full scope of freight and warehousing operations—including air, sea, and road transportation—ensuring seamless intercompany and last-mile outbound flows, with a strong focus on groupage, freight optimization, and cost efficiency.

As the leader of our global logistics network, you will own the strategy and execution for transportation, customs compliance, and warehouse optimization, and play a pivotal role in e-tendering, pricing, Incoterm policy, and business performance optimization.

This position also includes direct reports and coordination of local logistics teams across different global locations, overseeing import/export and domestic flows, and driving performance reviews, cost control, and KPI implementation.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Global Freight Management: Lead air, sea, and road transport activities globally, optimizing cost, service, and lead times.
  • Last-Mile & Groupage Operations: Lead (in dotted line) teams in charge of outbound deliveries, focusing on last-mile distribution and primarily groupage flows, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Warehouse Network Optimization: Oversee global warehousing strategy (internal and outsourced), layout design, and performance across multiple small manufacturing sites and distribution points.
  • Intercompany Logistics: Coordinate intercompany shipments and flows across countries, aligning with production and inventory planning.
  • Tender and E-Tender Management: Oversee global freight tendering activities with the support of a dedicated team member reporting directly to the Global Logistics Manager. Lead negotiation strategies with 3PLs and carriers, and ensure performance is tracked and optimized through clearly defined KPIs and SLAs.
  • Customs & Compliance: Ensure compliance with international trade and customs regulations—especially for the US and EU—including documentation, classification, tariffs, and audits.
  • Incoterm Strategy: Define and implement Incoterm policies aligned with trade needs and risk management 
  • Pricing & Mark-up Control: Cooperate at the creation of a revised cost allocation models, internal mark-up strategies, and logistics pricing for internal/external flows.
  • KPI Management & Cost Control: Define, track, and report KPIs across logistics functions; drive cost control measures and performance reviews in all regions.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate local and regional logistics teams (export, import, and domestic), ensuring alignment to global policies, compliance, and performance standards.
  • Process Improvement: Lead logistics and warehouse process improvement projects aimed at efficiency, sustainability, and cost optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, and Manufacturing to ensure an integrated, efficient, and compliant supply chain.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and strategic profile. To succeed in this role, you need to communicate clearly,  good negotiation skills, problem solver approach, fright contract management.

 

Experience and skills required

  •  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in global logistics management, preferably in a multi-plant industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in freight (air/sea/road), warehouse operations, and global trade compliance.
  • In-depth understanding of EU and US import/export laws, Incoterms, and cross-border trade.
  • Experience with groupage, intercompany logistics, and last-mile optimization (reefer/ambient/frozen).
  • Demonstrated success in Tendering, negotiation, and freight contract management.
  • Excellent capabilities in KPI definition, cost modeling, performance review, and team leadership across geographies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (especially French, Italian, Polish) are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required (btw 10% – 25% of the time).
