Finance Business Partner

Job description
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner who can assist the organization in ensuring a smooth and excellent build-up on the back of a carve-out and company mergers, while supporting the future growth by guiding the business’ decision making in a professional manner. This includes business controlling and management reporting, forecasting and budgeting, data analytics and various projects.

 

The responsibilities and primary duties associated with the position will be:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the American management team as well as selected corporate functions
  • Play a key role in building the future global Oterra performance management process and the build-up of our new Business Intelligence suite for Sales and Innovation
  • Review and understand the actual performance compared to budgets and plans and uncover emerging risks and opportunities
  • Design, communicate and drive the budget, forecast and monthly closing processes for the US business in line with corporate timelines and contribute actively to linking their respective business plans and strategic priorities to financial results
  • Monitor and assist in managing Fixed Assets
  • Perform ad hoc tasks including, but not limited to, building business cases and participating in projects.

You will step into a relatively newly established and dynamic team that is involved in many business-critical projects and that will evolve with Oterra in the years to come. You will be offered the exciting challenge of being a constructive sparring partner to the business, acting the primary finance business partner for Oterra’s American leadership team including the recently acquired leadership team of stand-alone Food Ingredients Solutions, as well as select corporate functions.

The right profile is able to work independently with a dynamic and pragmatic attitude, who can act as a solid and trusted advisor for the business, and that has experience in supporting C-suite level individuals. You will have at least 2 years of relevant experience from a similar role in a company working in a global context and preferably with experience from companies with global headquarters outside the US.

 

Experience and skills required

  • Bachelors of Science in Accounting/Finance
  • 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • SAP, SAP Analytics Clous and Business Intelligence Suite or similar experience is required
  • Great communication skills in an international setting
  • Possessing the ability to read, write and speak fluent English
