Meet your new team
You will be located in our new office in Mount Pleasant, joining the Customer Service team and referring to the Head of Customer Service for North America. You will collaborate with many cross-functional team members and be part of an international organization.
What would your role look like?
Joining Oterra you would be responsible for interfacing with Customers, Sales, Operations, and multiple internal departments and external business partners. You will be handling a variety of pre-sale, order fulfillment, and post-sales service functions, with a focus on order fulfillment, including order entry management and delivery management.
In more detail, you will:
- Receive and process both domestic and international orders into SAP.
- Determine product availability, pricing, and delivery methods, and keep a track of special customer requirements
- Process orders into deliveries based on lead-times of product and routing information
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and Warehousing
- Work with freight forwarders and warehouse for international shipments
- Field and own Customer related product issues/Customer Service Requests (CSRs)
- Develop and maintain cross-functional partnerships for upstream and downstream teams for the improvement on processes
- Update customer specific data in SAP and other systems to ensure accuracy
- Assist accounting in rectifying customer account problems as necessary.
Who are we looking for?
You have great communication skills, are organized, and have a working knowledge of the logistics and manufacturing processes. You strive to deliver the best customer service and collaborate easily with internal stakeholders.
Furthermore, you have:
- 1-2 years equivalent experience or a relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- Effective communication and inquiry skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate on issues
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. An additional language is a benefit.
- Ability to perform conversion calculations with units of measure, money, and other basic math functions as needed.
- Familiarity with delivery schedules, routing, incoterms, and carriers preferred.
- Ability to flex and adapt to change.
- Food industry knowledge a plus
- Experience with SAP ERP is a plus

Working Conditions
The working environment is generally favorable in an office setting. Lighting, temperature, and noise levels are adequate. Generally sedentary work, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of work time. On-call work may be required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
