We are looking for our new Head of Application (EMEA):
Main responsabilities :
- Leading and setting the direction for the regional application team. Driving the Application center performance efficiently to secure company growth in alignment with the strategy and ensuring resource spent is propositional with the business opportunity
- Be a strong partner to the sales organization in the region. Maintain overview of the sales projects in the territory, keeping business manager and account managers apprised and being pro-actively engaged in developing our business together with the sales and marketing team
- Secure high motivation, efficiency and competence development of the employees
- Reviewing and securing prioritization and optimization of technical activities:
- Secure Technical sales and customer visits; participate in selected customer days and meetings at Key Customers
- Push innovation, develop demo kits and sales tools
- Secure state of the art testing to support R&D development
- Secure development of new expertise within GEC focus industries in close collaboration with our other application centers globally and cross-functionally
- Develop and execute trainings (sales, new employees, distributors, customers etc.) in coordination with the Sales & Marketing Team
- Secure efficient support to customers, global projects and cross regional industry projects
- Secure the application center provides efficient technical support towards regional application, marketing, production, sourcing, R&D, QC and selected customers
- Ensure and execute expertise development and advanced internal training of the local organization Foster industry experts/competence owners to develop application expertise and keep up with industry trends, develop industry focused global demo kits and sales tools and secure global knowledge sharing within their field of expertise
- Be a strong innovative partner to R&D and Global Marketing, handle and support innovation projects and the industry strategy process. Secure development of new products according to Oterra strategies & procedures and actively participate in and support the launch excellence process
- Drive and support customization projects. Ensure high hit rate by challenging customization feasibility and allocating right resources and competences
- Ensure coordination of Global Strategic Account activities globally
- Handle or support selected complex sales projects
- Participate in relevant innovation/inspiration days and strategic customer meetings for GSAs or strategically important customer meetings
- Be the link between products experts and our regional application centers when needed for specific projectsTravels are expected 10/20% of your time
About your profile :
- Minimum a master’s degree (or similar) ideally in the science field of chemistry, food sciences
- Min 5 years business and leadership experience and a minimum of 8-12 years of food industry experience.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in directing, motivating, developing and educating a team setting high standards for quality and quantity
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a local and global cross-functional environments requiring stakeholder management skills and capable of create trusting relationships and secure alignment cross-functionally
- Solid commercial mindset, strong interest in keeping up to date with market dynamics and trends identifying business opportunities for the organization
- Capable of creative, conceptual thinking for developing inspiring sales tools
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- International experience and previous collaboration with different cultures and nationalities will be considered a plus
