Site Manager, MO
We are seeking a results-driven Site Manager for our Marshfield, MO location to lead and oversee the daily operations of our natural colors manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring that production processes align with business goals, meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, and fulfill customer delivery expectations—all while optimizing cost efficiency.
Working under limited direction, the Site Manager will be responsible for the safety, productivity, and overall performance of the site. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams in production, quality, supply chain, and maintenance to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Implements short term policies and procedures for manufacturing operations to align key performance indicators and capabilities with the long-term strategy of the business unit.
- Coordinates production activities with plannin, procurement, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
- Participates in cross-functional teams for the continuous, on-going improvement of methods and processes.
- Track KPI’s and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on production performance, quality, and safety metrics
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Takes a leadership role in employee and workplace safety by ensuring personal safety standards are followed and continually improved
- Participates on project teams to ensure new equipment, processes and products are properly introduced in manufacturing.
- Champions Continuous Improvement in Production organization using LEAN & Six Sigma Methodologies.
- Oversees entire production process from Raw Materials Scaling through Finished Goods Storage.
- Responsibility for operations cost center budgets.
- Assists in capital expenditure requests and executes small capital projects.
- Works closely with Planning, Maintenance, and Engineering to maximize the use of downtime and minimize effect on service.
- Develops and encourages the growth of employee’s skills through training and opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal, written, communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment. This position has both direct and indirect reports. 3. Ability to make administrative, procedural or employment-related decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work in local and global cross-functional environment.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma preferred
- Experience with manufacturing control systems (Allen Bradley PLCs & Wonderware HMI) preferred
- Experience within a regulated industry (i.e. Food, Processing, Medical Device, Pharma) a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel and Statistical software tools.
- These characteristics are normally acquired through a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and seven plus (7+) years of operations management experience.
Working Conditions
Working environment is generally favorable. Lighting, temperature, and noise levels are adequate with occasional exposure to cold temperatures. Frequent entry into the production facility requires personal protective equipment to be worn at all times. This includes a lab coat, hair/beard net, safety glasses, and gloves. Domestic and international travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, keyboard and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position with regular manufacturing hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on workload.
