You will be joining the Operations Team, also you will be located in Lima, Perú. We all chip in when and where it is needed, have a flat structure but high standards, enjoy a good laugh and a pragmatic and operational approach to supporting our agenda. Who are we looking for?
- Advanced professional degree: Industrial, mechanical, electronic, chemical, food engineering, administration, others.
- Minimum 10 years of proven progressive manufacturing, maintenance and operational excellence experience or equivalent education and experience. Desirable in industry, chemicals or food industries.
- Desirable experience in continuous improvement, LEAN, etc.
- Fluency in English required
- Strong leadership oriented to goals, people development, positive challenge of status quo and oriented to efficient execution.
- Desirable SAP and other IT tools.
- Ability to effectively comprehend, assimilate and communicate local and global procedures and standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, set direction; negotiating, facilitating, capable of making pragmatic decisions; good at prioritizing and multi-tasking.
- Understanding of ethical and corporate social responsibility
What would your role look like?
- This position is responsible for production and maintenance processes of carmine and SWP plants, while assuring the delivery of products accordingly in terms of safety, quality, cost and time, in plenty compliance of legal regulation and company policies.
- Asure safe facilities and operations. Leading by example: “Walk the talk”
- Maximize overall equipment efficiency (OEE): Reduce lead times, maximize operational availability and reduce quality complains while accomplish budget.
- Develop his/her team maximizing contribution and engagement.
- Implement and keep all EHS and Quality actions and programs assuring active participation of the team. Strengthen proactive reporting culture. Lead reporting and investigation activities. Zero lost time accidents and quality complains.
- Maintain all site and process quality certifications: FSSC, Kosher, Halal, all corporate ones, etc.
- In alignment with planning and other areas, be responsible for production programs and mid and long-term capacity analysis and actions. Responsible for production and maintenance CAPEX elaboration, support and follow up of execution.
- Define in concordance to company goals objectives for production and maintenance and cascade accordingly to the team. Perform follow up and periodic feedback meetings.
- Lead operational excellence programs and continuous improvement oriented to safety, quality, efficiency and cost. Improving yield, loss reduction, alternative materials and vendors
- Manage team under responsibility. Goals setting, performance management, update and propose organizational charts, job descriptions, training and skills needs. Accomplish of all legal requirements and company policies.
- Actively participate in global and regional meetings. Apply benchmark and best practice sharing.
- Implement and lead maintenance strategy oriented to assure safety, quality, business continuity and efficiency. Maintenance plan, critical equipment and spare parts, production and utilities assets management, contractor management, workshop operations, etc. Maximize operational availability
