We are looking for a talented EHS Specialist to join our EHS team. We all contribute whenever and wherever needed, we have a lean structure but with high standards, an environment filled with good laughs, and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to achieving our goals. What would your role look like?
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Peruvian Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation.
- Promote the implementation of OHS programs, such as: Risk Management, Emergency Management, LOTOTO, Contractor Management, Ergonomics, Work Permit, Vehicle Management, and Job Preparation.
- Lead incident investigations, preparing reports and proposing corrective and preventive measures.
- Validate contractors’ safe work methods on site and ensure compliance through safety inspections and audits.
- Manage industrial hygiene programs to ensure workers’ health.
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions and emergency drills.
- Implement and guide local safety committees to promote a safety culture within the company.
- Foster and maintain an EHS culture at all levels of the organization.
- Support and follow up on local and corporate environmental management and sustainability efforts.
- Manage documentation required for audits and certifications.
- Document and continuously improve EHS management system processes.
- Other duties inherent to the position.
Technical Key Points:
- Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar positions in related industries.
- Knowledge of local and international occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is desirable.
- Knowledge of lean methods and operational excellence standards (desirable).
- Bilingual: Spanish (native) and intermediate/advanced English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate-level knowledge of Power BI (desirable).
