Meet your new team!
We are looking for a talented Head of Group Controlling & Reporting to join our growing Finance team. Based in our Hoersholm HQ, you’ll join a dedicated group of finance professionals who ensure Oterra’s financial integrity, performance transparency, and compliance across all regions. Together, we deliver accurate reporting, strong governance, and strategic insights to support the company’s growth ambitions.
What would your role look like?
As Head of Group Controlling & Reporting, you will lead global financial controlling and reporting processes across Oterra. You will own the group consolidation, oversee month- and year-end closings, and strengthen governance frameworks. This role is pivotal in enhancing financial accuracy, driving process excellence, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and ESG requirements. You will also play a key role in financial due diligence, business scalability, and digital transformation initiatives.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of 4–5 finance professionals to deliver accurate and timely financial controlling and reporting.
- Oversee group financial consolidation, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management.
- Own the annual report process and act as primary liaison with external auditors.
- Provide transparent and insightful financial analysis to the senior leadership team, Audit Committee, and private equity owners.
- Champion process improvements, finance digitalization, and ESG reporting.
- Partner closely with global stakeholders to align financial performance with strategic objectives.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic finance leader with a passion for accuracy, process excellence, and team development. You are confident in engaging with senior stakeholders, including private equity owners, and skilled at translating complex financial data into actionable insights. You will lead a high-performing team of 4–5 colleagues, fostering collaboration, growth, and accountability.
Experience and skills required:
Must-haves:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, CMA, or similar) preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience in group finance, controlling, and reporting, ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership track record with team management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, and internal control frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP S4 preferred) and BI tools.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with ESG reporting and sustainability-related financial disclosures.
- Exposure to private equity-owned businesses.
