Are you our new Head of Group Controlling & Reporting?
We are looking for a new Head of Group Controlling & Reporting, who will be responsible for leading financial controlling and reporting processes across Oterra. This role ensures robust internal controls, accurate financial reporting, Group Financial Statement and compliance with regulatory and ESG reporting requirements. You will own the financial consolidation, drive reporting excellence, and enhance internal control frameworks to support sustainable business growth. This position holds a high level of financial authority and is responsible for overseeing financial performance management for the Oterra Group. You will have decision-making authority over financial controlling and accounting policies, reporting structures, and compliance standards across all regions.
The role is part of the Finance Leadership Team, and reports directly to the Group CFO.
Overall objective
The Head of Group Controlling & Reporting is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity and performance transparency of Oterra. This role plays a critical part in driving financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making through effective controlling, reporting, and internal control processes. The position is designed to enhance financial governance, support business scalability, and provide leadership in financial planning and ESG reporting. By maintaining strong financial oversight, the role helps safeguard the company’s assets, optimize operational efficiencies, and enable long-term sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Group Controlling function, ensuring accurate and timely financial con-trolling and reporting
• Oversee financial consolidation and ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements
• Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes
• Ensure the effectiveness of financial processes and compliance with corporate policies
• Develop and implement financial KPIs and dashboards to track business performance
• Manage and enhance ESG reporting to align with corporate sustainability goals
• Drive financial transparency and insight through robust financial analysis and reporting
• Oversee the preparation and submission of Annual Report, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Act as the key liaison for external auditors and oversee audit processes, ensuring full compliance with financial regulations and best practices
• Active part of the Finance Leadership Team, and drive the development of own department as well as Global Finance Community, together with the rest of the Finance Leadership Team
• Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to align financial performance with strategic objectives
• Own and steer reports and insights to the Audit Committee, ensuring transparency in financial matters and internal controls, and be the key liaison
• Lead initiatives for financial process improvements and digitalization efforts within controlling
• Act as a key financial decision-maker, ensuring that controlling practices support business scalability and financial health
Job specific competencies
• A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred
• 7+ years of experience in group controlling, consolidation, financial reporting, and internal controls, ideally within a multinational company
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting, consolidation, and internal control frameworks
• Experience with ESG reporting and sustainability-related financial disclosures is a plus
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to in-fluence decision-making at all levels
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as consolidation systems, ERP systems (SAP S4 etc.) and BI solutions
• Experience in manufacturing sector is a strong plus
