Meet your new team!
We are looking for a talented Group Financial Controller to join our growing Group Controlling team. Based in our Global Headquarters in Hørsholm, Denmark, you’ll join a dedicated group of finance professionals who ensure Oterra’s financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all regions. We work closely with colleagues worldwide, consolidating financial results, driving process improvements, and delivering the insights that fuel our company’s growth.
What would your role look like?
As a Group Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in Oterra’s financial reporting and governance. You will manage group consolidation, elimination, and IFRS compliance, as well as oversee internal control testing and contribute to M&A integrations. This is a high-exposure role, working with senior leadership, the Audit Committee, and finance teams globally to ensure the integrity of Oterra’s financial results.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including consolidation, elimination, and preparation of management and statutory reports.
- Prepare consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, plus key reconciliations (e.g., equity).
- Manage consolidation and PPA entities, ensuring accurate postings and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of internal reporting processes and centralization to our shared service center.
- Advise on IFRS accounting issues and prepare technical memos for management, Audit Committee, and auditors.
- Prepare selected management and board reports, and contribute to Audit Committee materials.
- Drive faster and more efficient close processes, and participate in automation of consolidated reporting.
- Manage selected audit areas, including documentation for key accounting estimates and judgments.
- Support onboarding of acquisitions to Oterra’s financial guidelines and systems.
- Define, implement, and test internal controls across the group.
- Build strong relationships with finance managers globally to identify improvement opportunities beyond monthly controlling.

Experience and skills required:
Must-haves:
- Master’s or diploma degree in finance, auditing, or accounting.
- 2–3+ years’ experience in similar roles in an internal finance organization, ideally combined with Big 4 audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with consolidated financial statements.
- Experience with M&A activities and integration.
- Proficiency with consolidation tools (SAP Group Reporting or SAP BPC preferred).
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across geographies.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in process automation and financial digitalization.
- Experience in manufacturing or multinational companies.
