The team for you to join

You will be joining the Product Management team with colleagues from different nationalities and working in multiple locations. We are a team of highly motivated Product Managers, Product Analyst and Project Managers. We all chip in when and where it is needed, have a flat structure but high standards. What would your role look like?

As Pricing Strategy Manager, you will shape Oterra´s pricing strategy and be responsible for its execution with the objective to increase sales and profit. You will lead price setting across our product lines to position Oterra´s products based on value and competitive environment in collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Operations and Finance. You will be supported by a Pricing Analyst in direct reference to you.

A successful Pricing Strategy Manager candidate is an active problem solver - someone who has the natural curiosity to understand business performance drivers through utilizing large datasets, integrating various information sources and applying analytical skills in developing strategies and recommendations.

Reporting to the Global Head of Product Management:

  • You define Oterra´s pricing strategy and pricing model in close collaboration with Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance
  • You develop methodology for calculating list price and price floor for our different product lines within various regions and market segments, identifying price leakage buckets within price waterfall and find ways to increase profit
  • You drive pricing excellence and work with sales and product managers to implement price changes into the market, track price realization globally and regionally and monitor the adherence to our pricing principles
  • You own the continuous pricing training of our sales organization and are responsible for the deployment of pricing and analytics tools that support Oterra´s pricing capabilities


Who are we looking for?


To succeed in this position, you have:


  • Significant experience with pricing and pricing management:
    • 5+ year experience from a business-to-business context (Food ingredients is a plus) in building and implementing business-oriented pricing strategy, governance and processes
  • A track record of linking strategy to commercial goals and performance
    • You have strong commercial and business sense, the ability to assess the value of products and services and develop pricing that reflects our business strategy
    • You have the skills to identify and evaluate opportunities to change pricing
  • Strong analytical skills and toolbox
    • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze large amounts of data using multiple data sources, develop analysis templates/tools and synthesize various findings into actionable recommendations
    • You have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience working with Tableau and/or other data visualization
    • You have worked with and are familiar with today´s pricing tools (e.g. CPQ, CLM, AI based price optimization tools or the like)
  • The ability and track record of driving change and implementation
    • You are result driven and an active problem solver
    • You are a strong communicator with the ability to convey clear and consistent messages
    • You are collaborative and able to establish strong cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization
    • You understand and can influence key internal partners of pricing (Sales, Marketing, Product Managers and Finance)
  • A Master degree with strong business and/or analytical orientation, e.g., Finance, Economics, Math, Business, Engineering
