About the Position
We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist for our Chiva (Valencia) plant, with a strong background in raw material and packaging planning (MRP), procurement, and logistics coordination. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the timely availability of materials and transportation services aligned with our production schedule and customer delivery commitments.
Reporting directly to the Site Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing planning, supplier coordination, and outbound logistics operations, working closely with Production, Quality, Warehousing, and Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage raw material and packaging planning (MRP), ensuring alignment with the weekly production plan and material availability.
- Execute procurement operations: place purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely supply.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, shortages, or delays, maintaining close communication to ensure continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with the Production and Planning teams to align material availability with manufacturing priorities.
- Plan and manage the transportation of finished goods to customers, including service contracting and carrier coordination.
- Monitor and control logistics performance, ensuring on-time deliveries and optimizing transport costs.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (SAP/other), ensuring proper documentation, traceability, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Support the implementation of supply chain improvement projects, including process optimization and cost-saving initiatives.
- Act as liaison with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure efficient and effective material and transport flow.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supply planning (MRP), procurement, and logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of procurement and supplier management processes.
- Experience in transport planning and logistics coordination is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or similar), with strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
