About the Position
We are looking for a Production and Raw Material Planner for our Chiva (Valencia) plant, with a strong background in production planning (MPS) and raw material planning (MRP) within a manufacturing environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the timely availability of materials aligned with the production plan, safeguarding operational continuity and customer delivery commitments.
Reporting directly to the Site Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production planning cycle and raw material requirements, working closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, Warehousing, and Customer Service to ensure efficient material flow and manufacturing execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the weekly production plan (MPS), ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, confirmed orders, and manufacturing capacity.
- Execute and control raw material and packaging planning (MRP), guaranteeing material availability in line with production requirements.
- Analyze material requirements considering lead times, safety stocks, minimum order quantities, and supply constraints.
- Coordinate closely with Procurement to ensure timely replenishment of raw materials and resolve potential supply risks.
- Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages or delays that could impact production.
- Collaborate with Production to ensure feasible schedules and prioritize manufacturing orders according to business needs.
- Maintain accurate master data and planning parameters in ERP systems (SAP/other), ensuring traceability and compliance with internal procedures.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance service level and working capital efficiency.
- Analyze planning deviations and propose corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy and plan stability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes, parameter optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Act as key planning liaison between internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of production and material flow.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production planning and raw material planning (MRP) within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of MRP logic, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems, with strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative and cross-functional approach.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
