EHS Manager

We are looking for a talented EHS MANAGER to join our growing team. Based in Oterra Italian site located in Canossa, you’ll join a dedicated team where you lead and provide technical expertise to achieve corporate goals for EHS performance and ensure compliance with all EHS policies and regulations as well as legal compliance. You will also work with the global team on projects aimed at the environment and innovation.

The ideal candidate has a background in Prevention Techniques in Environment and Workplaces or with equivalent experience of at least 4 years in the role can support the HSE Service in carrying out activities related to health, safety and environment. Analytical and problem-solving skills and a good knowledge of English complete the profile.


What will your day-to-day look like? 

  • Build and ensure compliance with the integrated safety plan across the organization.
  • Ensure the sites are in compliance with EHS regulations and requirements.
  • Overseeing audits of HSE area
  • Provide specific compliance recommendations to engineering, maintenance and production teams (machine protection, flammable and combustible liquids, Fire protection and prevention systems and techniques, ergonomics and materials handling, risk communication, confined spaces and others)
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording and management of EHS documents, including submission of periodic reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Lead and/or assist with emergency response activities.
  • Lead the development, review and implementation of site emergency programs
  • Interface with EHS public and regulatory authorities
  • Oversee industrial hygiene programmes, EHS
  • Prioritize the main site hazards and risks and ensure actions are taken to mitigate or eliminate risks.
  • Conduct EHS and environmental incident investigations and participate in the management review of all major incidents.
  • Lead, coordinate and participate in the development of EHS improvement initiatives.
  • Co-operation and co-ordination with the Competent Doctor in all matters concerning the planning of medical examinations and their frequency
  • Support in the management and updating of the Risk Assessment Document
  • Participation in global projects for environmental innovation


Experience and skills required 


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering or Science)
  • Prior experience 4 years’ experience in HSE Management experience (ASPP; RSPP or others)
  • Advanced English and Italian Level
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office programs
  • The ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach; Strong written and spoken communication skills
